About the Event
The Mid-Autumn Festival is one of the most important holidays in Chinese culture, with a popularity comparable to that of Chinese New Year. It is celebrated on the 15th day of the eighth month of the Chinese lunisolar calendar and has a history of over 3,000 years. The festival is a joyful time for family reunions, moon watching, and sharing mooncakes. Similar festivals are also celebrated by other cultures in East and Southeast Asia.
WWCC is committed to promoting traditional Chinese culture and contributing to Canada’s multicultural society. Through this event, we hope to share the joy of the Mid-Autumn Festival and bring people together in celebration.
